Accessibility at Haryts
We want everyone to be able to use haryts.com. This statement describes the standard we build to, where we stand today, and how to tell us when we fall short.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA — the current W3C recommendation, which builds on the 2.0 and 2.1 levels referenced by accessibility law in Canada (the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Accessible Canada Act), the United States (the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508) and the European Union (EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act). Building to 2.2 meets or exceeds the version each of those laws references today. The site is offered in both English and French.
Where we stand today
We believe haryts.com substantially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The site uses semantic structure and landmark regions, provides text alternatives for meaningful images, labels every form field, supports full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator, meets AA colour-contrast ratios for text, respects the operating system's reduced-motion setting, and reflows for small screens and zoom. For the criteria new in 2.2 we have reviewed the site so that keyboard focus is not hidden behind the fixed header (Focus Not Obscured), interactive targets are large enough to activate comfortably (Target Size), the way to reach us stays in the same place across pages (Consistent Help), no step asks you to re-enter information you already gave (Redundant Entry), and nothing requires solving a cognitive puzzle to proceed (Accessible Authentication). These were verified through automated testing and internal review.
What we're still doing
The site has not yet had an independent third-party accessibility audit, and some success criteria are best confirmed with assistive technology by a person. We are continuing to test with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation, and we treat any barrier a visitor reports as something to fix, not to explain away. This statement will be updated as that work progresses.
Compatibility
haryts.com is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) on desktop and mobile, together with their built-in and common assistive technologies. It does not require any browser plug-in.
Other formats and support
If you need any content from this site in another format — for example plain text, large print, or an explanation by phone — or need help using a form, ask us and we'll provide it in a timely manner, at no extra cost.
Tell us about a barrier
If you encounter anything on this site that is difficult or impossible to use, please tell us through the contact page, or email contact@haryts.com. Describe the page and what happened, and we'll look into it and get back to you. Your feedback helps us meet the standard above.

Accessibility is part of trust
The same discipline that makes our answers verifiable applies to the site itself — usable, honest about its limits, and open to correction.
