Operational Intelligence, defined

Plain-language definitions of the concepts Haryts is built on — from grounded answers and citations to knowledge health and hybrid search.

Operational Intelligence

The discipline of turning an organization's existing operational knowledge — manuals, procedures, and records — into grounded, cited answers teams can verify at the point of work.

Knowledge Intelligence

The ability to get grounded, cited answers from an organization's unstructured knowledge, and to measure the health of that knowledge over time.

Knowledge Health

A measurable view of how well-supported an organization's knowledge is — which topics have multiple current sources, and where documentation is missing.

Operational Memory

Retained operational context across sessions, so recurring situations benefit from past knowledge and institutional know-how is preserved.

AI Transparency

The property that an AI answer can be inspected and defended — it cites its sources, shows how well-supported it is, and can be explained after the fact.

Grounded Answer

An answer built from evidence retrieved in your own documents rather than from a model's memory, so it can be cited and verified.

Citation

A reference from an answer back to the specific source document that supports it, so a person can open the original and confirm the answer.

RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)

A pattern where relevant evidence is retrieved first and an answer is generated from that evidence. Haryts runs deterministic retrieval before generation, always.

HarytsBench

Haryts's internal, long-horizon operational-intelligence benchmark. Missions are trajectory-scored across the pipeline and failures are attributed to the responsible subsystem.

Haryts Eval

Case-level evaluation of answer and retrieval quality. Every pilot ends with a measured baseline on the customer's own documents.

Trust Score

A signal shown with an answer indicating how well-supported it is by the retrieved evidence, so users can see confidence instead of guessing.
